En septiembre del año pasado se cumplieron dos décadas del lanzamiento de la película Almost Famous, cinta semi-biográfica del gran cineasta Cameron Crowe. Hoy tenemos una gran sorpresa.
Continuando con los festejos por su 20 aniversario, el próximo 9 de julio saldrá a la venta una reedición de lujo del soundtrack de dicho filme, el cual contará con un total de 103 canciones.
Este nuevo lanzamiento llegará en una edición limitada de 5 CD’s, siete vinilos de 180 gramos y un sencillo muy especial, el cual incluye la canción «Fever Dog», interpretada por la banda estelar de Almost Famous, Stillwater.
El soundtrack original cuenta con temas de The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Beach Boys, David Bowie, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nancy Wilson, Cat Stevens, entre otros más. La nueva versión incluirá canciones de Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Yes, Joni Mitchell, Peter Frampton y más.
Por si esto fuera poco, el box-set contendrá un libro fotográfico de 40 páginas, que es, en realidad, una réplica del cuaderno de William Miller, protagonista de la película. Otro artículo de colección es la nota que Miller escribió para la revista Rolling Stone.
Si creías que todo acaba ahí, te equivocas, pues UMe publicará dos ediciones de LP’s, así como un set de 102 canciones, el cual incluye 36 temas que no habían sido lanzados. De igual forma, habrá un vinilo con todas las canciones de Stillwater.
