El actor aparecerá en la serie de Star Wars ‘Ahsoka
Ray Stevenson, mejor conocido por protagonizar las películas Thor de Marvel y RRR , murió a los 58 años.
El actor murió el domingo (21 de mayo) en Italia cuatro días antes de su cumpleaños, según confirmó su publicista a The Hollywood Reporter . No se ha revelado una causa de muerte.
El periódico italiano La Repubblica informó que había sido hospitalizado durante la producción de la película Cassino on Ischia .
Stevenson interpretó a Volstagg en Thor de 2011 y sus secuelas, Thor: The Dark World y Thor: Ragnarok . También interpretó al gobernador Scott Buxton en la exitosa película india RRR , que recibió el Oscar a la Mejor Canción Original a principios de este año.
Los papeles anteriores del actor incluyen interpretar a Dagonet en King Arthur de 2004 y Titus Pullo en la serie Roma de la BBC . Stevenson también interpretó el papel principal en Kill The Irishman de 2011, interpretó a Porthos en The Three Musketeers de 2011 e interpretó a Isaak Sirko en la séptima temporada de Dexter .

In a tribute on Twitter, Rome co-star James Purefoy wrote: “So sad to hear the news that Ray Stevenson, our Pullo in Rome, has passed away. A brilliant, gutsy, larger-than-life actor who filled every part he played right up to the brim. My thoughts are with his family, his lovely wife Betta and their beautiful kids. What a loss.”
